Letter: Austin Theriault is the best choice for CD 2

I believe that the citizens of this great state would be best served by voting for Austin Theriault in the 2nd Congressional District race.
When it comes to protecting the interests of sportsmen, of respecting Maine’s long-standing outdoor traditions, I believe Rep. Jared Golden has failed.
When it comes to working to solve the growing mental health and addiction crisis in Maine, I believe Jared Golden has failed.
When it comes to education, the economy and the cost of everyday living, I believe Golden has consistently failed Maine’s families.
When it comes to being straight with the Maine voters, I believe Golden has also clearly failed.
I hear him talk about reducing out-of-control spending, for protecting our rights, then he votes for a lot of new spending, he supports abridging traditional rights and has done nothing to protect parental rights. We can all see the consequences of his failure to put Maine people first.
So, I’m voting for Theriault. He clearly understands what Maine families are going through, and I would ask all Maine citizens in the 2nd District to please vote for him!
